This personal utility is operated by the owner of wuayteck@gmail.com. It is not offered as a public backup service.
Information accessed and its purpose
The utility uses Google's drive.file permission to create, list, read, update and, when the owner requests retention cleanup, delete its backup files. It may read account identity and backup-file metadata to confirm the destination account and verify transfers. It does not request Gmail-message access or unrestricted access to existing Drive files.
Storage and security
Selected computer files are encrypted by restic before their contents are uploaded to the owner's Google Drive. Google can still receive account details and storage metadata such as object sizes and transfer times. OAuth credentials and backup decryption passwords are kept in access-restricted storage on the owner's devices, outside the public website and backup repository. Local operational logs may contain file paths, timing, checksums and error messages.
Use and sharing
Google user data is used only to provide backup, restore, verification and owner-directed retention. It is not sold, used for advertising, or supplied for training general-purpose AI models. Data is transmitted to Google to operate the selected Drive destination. The owner may inspect files and logs or provide relevant diagnostic information to a support provider when troubleshooting; credentials and backup contents are not automatically published.
Retention and control
Backups remain until the owner removes them under the chosen retention policy. Access can be revoked through the Google Account's third-party connections settings. Revoking access stops future authorised operations; it does not itself erase stored backups. The owner can delete backup files from Drive, including its trash, and remove local logs and credentials. Google applies its own retention rules to data held by its services.
This information website
The pages contain no application analytics, forms or advertising. The hosting provider may process ordinary connection logs such as IP address and request time.
